THE MUSIC MILE STORY

Kilburn Music Mile celebrates a great community and its remarkable musical heritage. Bringing live music to Kilburn High Road and its surrounding spaces, the festival champions local creativity and gives people a platform to show what makes this neighbourhood special.

The festival is organised by Kilburn State of Mind, the local charity founded in 2019. Its founder and CEO, Al Medley, was inspired to create Music Mile by music promoter Vince Power’s passion for bringing live music to people. Today, residents, musicians, volunteers, venues and independent businesses help shape the festival and bring it to life.

That shared energy is at the heart of Music Mile: pride in Kilburn’s roots, excitement for new talent and the ambition to create something together that welcomes audiences from across London and beyond.
